The Department of Public Services (DPS) has arranged for the line contractor to remove the incorrect paint/ line markings on High Street overnight beginning Thursday, September 5. DPS has posted No Parking signs on High Street effective Thursday 8PM – Friday 7AM in order to complete this task. All lines will be removed with the exception of the center yellow median lines.
The timing of the upcoming storm will determine when the contractor will re-line High Street. We continue to track the upcoming weather and will announce the re-lining date as soon as possible. It will be overnight work and High Street will be closed to vehicular traffic. Residents should note that the paint will be wet when applied and takes a few minutes to dry.
Furthermore, remaining sidewalk work will be completed on Thursday, September 5th. This includes the pouring of concrete sidewalks. Many sidewalks along High Street will not be accessible during the pouring and curing time for the new concrete sidewalks. Please consider taking alternative walking routes on Thursday.
